Tribute to Brevity

I have a little problem. I write too much (I talk too much, too, but that's not a problem here at Approximately None).

So I'm going to aim at being concise. Fewer brackets, fewer discursive rambles, fewer words. I'm aiming at the same thing for my comments on other blogs. A little goal - it could tie in with Skinny Cow - less of me in every way.

It took me 66 words to say what?

... Approximately Nothing.

Your last six posts (not counting this one) have all been approximately 300 words each. I wouldn't call that rambling - if you were writing an essay it would be about half the introduction.

But then again, I'm a rambler myself so maybe I just haven't noticed.

We come to read, we don't necessarily come for Brevity. We'll take whatever comes at Approximately None.

Ahh, although I've been reviewing some of my posts and they can get long - isn't it more about how many words it takes to get the point across?

I'm glad you guys haven't noticed!

You use every phrase to help you paint a word picture, and it all works together very nicely. Your writing style is remeniscent of the very best, like Winnie the Pooh and Yes Minister.

Once you've read some William books, anything less than five "and"s in a sentence seems remarkable brief.
