I was up and into the shops reasonably early yesterday. The main shopping centre here gets ridiculously busy this time of the year, and I wanted to get the majority of the Christmas groceries so that I only have to stop off at a neighbourhood centre for the extra bits between now and Christmas.
By the time I'd purchase everything I needed and headed down to my car I realised that I was the proud possessor of a very precious yuletide commodity without even trying.
I wondered about whether I should hold an auction to see what someone would pay for it.
Ebay might be the way to go.
Yes, I had a car park.
In the end I gave it up and came home, leaving behind one very happy car full of people, and heaps of frustrated ones.
What are the chances that you were expecting a serious post?
... Approximately None.

Oh I hear you. I went shopping Sunday afternoon and it was mental. I got out of the car and left Tom to hunt for a park. Can't waste valuable shopping time.
Oh YES! Aren't the carparks nuts!! I had to stalk someone for mine yesterday!
I have to remind myself that it's ok to take sunny car parks, and not drive round looking for a shady one at this time of year.
I got to a shopping centre just before 9am on Saturday and had to drive around for a bit to find a spot. Normally at that time I'd have the pick of the litter. The last few trips to the shop have been on foot, with my wonderful folding shopping cart. It's a 20 minute walk (25-30 when the cart is full) but it's so much better than fighting with people in the car park. I hate that more than any other part of the whole shopping experience.
It's been psycho, I agree. I've been turning up at the shops at 8:15 am and having to wait for my shops to acutally open. Hopefully I won't have to shop in a big centre until long after New Year now.
Recent news article on carpark rage this Christmas - apparently many people are gazumping others to free parks, even though the others have their indicator on and have been sitting, waiting.
Many of these rude individuals are getting their paintwork scratched and their tyres let down. And it made the news!
