Another Letter from Grandma...

I'm aiming to include a couple of these a week when I have nothing to say for myself. I just thought I'd do a couple to get us up and started.
The chance that my whole blog will be filled with these?

...Hopefully...

... Approximately None

Uncle John is riding his bike to school.

He is just going up Thallon St, hall fence behind him, and Grandma is waving from the front door.

Thankyou for the picture of the horse. There are 2 horses in the yard beside the Church now. I'll have to draw them. (Why don't you like pussy cats???)

Love G'ma.

I don't recall getting up enough speed to have my hair streaming out like that, but maybe it was a windy day?

So glad you're sharing these: the drawings are a treasure beyond value...

You actually have all the pictures that were sent to you. The first couple are very crumpled because I retrieved them from the toy box when I realised that this would continue and be worthy of keeping.

What a great idea! Peter will love it (his own drawings having been lost over the years). I'm sorry I never got to meet her. She sounds like she'd have been a great grandma-in-law.
P.S. And so why don't you like cats?

I do like cats, it's just that I've always MADLY loved horses. And I believe that Grandma thought that cats were easier to draw than horses.

I actually think that this bike was eventually painted red and it was mine for my later primary school years. I might be wrong. Can anyone enlighten me?
